Feurio! CD-Manager:

If you havent selected the switch "compress database" during importing, the database would not run.
Reason: The databasefile was longer then 512 MB.
Until this version, Feurio! had accessed the files in "memory mapped" mode.
Unfortunatly, windows 2000 and xp does support "memory mapped files" only up to a size of 512MB.
We have changed the acess mode; now it should run even if the file is greater then 512 MB.

bullet Detection on DVD-R, output of DVD-vendorcode and DVD-ATIP-Data:
We have implementeted a detection of DVD-R and DVD+R media.
If you have a DVD-Writer supported by Feurio!, Feurio! will display type of dvd-media, capazity and dvd-vendor.
Also, you can display all pre-recordered data (like atip-data on cd-r) of a dvdr.
IMPORTANTE: The output of the dvd-vendorcode for dvd+r media does only work if your writer supports reading of dvd+r-vendorcode; many DVD+RW-Writes cannot read the vendorcode of a DVD+R!

From now, after burning or simulation Plextor burners will also report whether (and how often) Burn-Proof "pounced".
bulletContatore-Burn-Proof / Registrazione Qualità Audio Master per Yamaha 3200E:
From now, the Yamaha 3200e reports after burning whether (and how often) Burn-Proof "pounced". Furthermore, as of now "Audio Master Quality Recording Mode" is supported.
bulletVisualizzazione della velocità corrente di scrittura:
As requested by many users, the Progress Dialog in "Expanded mode" now shows the current writing speed and the average writing speed.
bulletSupporto per "VariRec":
Plextor's new "VariRec" (manual change of the laser power) is now supported as well.
Quick CD burners (all burners faster than 16x) no longer burn at a constant speed but at different speeds. There are different methods (partial CAV, ZONE CLV, ..).
Therefore, as of now, - as far as we know - Feurio! shows the recording mode in the speed selection box after the speed, i.e. e.g. "12x (CLV)" stands for constant recording speed 12x, "24x (Partial CAV)" for recording in Partial CAV mode (up to a certain point, slow increase in the speed, then constant recording speed).
This display is not yet available on all burners, we will gradually ascertain this information for all burners for which we have got test models available and include it in Feurio!
bulletModifiche ai driver di Masterizzazione:
As already described in version 1.62, we are currently changing CD writers to a new driver concept.
In this version, the following writers have been "transferred":
Yamaha CDR 200/400/4001, CRW-2260/4260 and compatible (e.g. Traxdata CRW 2260/4260, Waitec 4046)
Philips CDD 3600/3610, and compatible (e.g. Traxdata CDRW 2260 EL PRO, Traxdata CDRW 2260 Plus, Cyberdrive 602, Nomai 680.RW, Lifetec CD-RW LT 9875)
Hewlett-Packard Surestore 7100i/7200i and compatible (e.g. BTC BCE 62IE, Philips CDD 3600, Memorex 1622, Wearnes CDRW-622, Acer CD-R/RW 6206A)

Novità dalla 1.63 alla 1.64 (Rilasciato il 21.01.2002):

Feurio! CD-Manager:

bulletSpecial routines for defective (copy-protected) Audio-CDs:
Unfortunately it seems to be becoming fashionable to put "defective" CDs (i.e. CDs which do not comply with standards) on the market which then do not work in CD-ROMs, some DVD-ROMs and some Auto-CD-Players.
As according to current legislation, copying audio CDs is expressly legal and the "authorized use" in particular is significantly limited by these "defective" CDs (e.g. you can not listen to them on your computer, can not copy them onto mp3-Players), we have now included some routines in Feurio! which can correct some defects.
In particular Feurio! now recognizes additional defective sessions and in this case, only reads the first (correct) session.
We have tested this with various "defective" CDs -> Reading/copying all of these CDs is possible without any problems with the current version of Feurio!
LIMITATION: It is possible that this is limited by the CD-ROM being used. Some CD-ROMs are so "confused" by these "defective" CDs that they either do not recognize that a CD has been inserted or refuse to read the CD.
If this is the case, then of course Feurio! is powerless to do anything - here we can only recommend that you try it with a different CD-ROM.
bulletFeurio! Covereditor: Many enhancements:
The Feurio! Covereditor has been improved:
Tracklist Format can be changed:
The layout of the tracklist can now be changed. It is even possible to make tracklists with several columns (for CDs with several tracks). It is also possible to define separate attributes (character set, text size, text color) for the individual elements (number, title, artist, playing time) leaving more room for creative design.
There are also several formats for the track list (e.g. including multiple line entries: 1st line artist, 2nd line title).
Copy & Paste -> Cover for Double-CDs!
Copy & Paste has now also been implemented for individual frames -> This can be used for example to easily generate a cover for a double CD:
Simply open the Cover-Editor for both CDs (i.e. there are now two active sub-Windows with both CDs), select the frame with the tracklist in one of the two covers, press "Copy" move to the other cover, press "Insert" and then re-position the two tracklists -> Done!
Standard character set:
In response to numerous requests, we have now made it possible to define a standard character set which is to be used for all new covers.
bulletCDDB-Submit: Method "HTTP" implemented:
Until now, CDDB-Submits have always been transmitted by "SMTP". In principle, SMTP is also the best method - unfortunately however there are an increasing number of Internet providers which do no allow "full" Internet access, i.e. no longer permit direct IP-connections (e.g. to the SMTP-Server of freedb), but only allow indirect connections via proxies.
Firewalls in company networks are sometimes also a problem which also sometimes block direct connections.
To solve this problem, the Submit method "HTTP" is now supported so that the data is transferred using a "normal" HTTP-Request - so that all submit problems caused by Firewalls or Internet providers with limited internet access should now be history.
bulletError corrections:
MP3 commentary tag:
In some cases the MP3 commentary tag was not taken over correctly -> Corrected
Nero-Images Nero-Version 5.5.4.0:
Unfortunately Ahead has changed the format of the Nero-Image files again -> This version can now also read the images from the newest version of Nero.
Reading the last track on a CD-Extra CD:
When reading the last audio track on a CD-Extra CD (and thus also some of the copy-protected CDs) the last 2 seconds of the track were missing -> Corrected.
A-Open DVD-ROM "AOPEN 16XDVD-ROM/AMH":
With certain hardware versions of this DVD-ROM there were problems reading it: At the start of a reading operation it always displays "Unknown error: Sense 5, ASC 64..".
Through special treatment of this drive it has been possible to get around this problem!

Feurio! CD-Writer:

bulletProblems with Windows XP:
Unfortunately there is still a problem with Windows XP after all:
If the writing progress window has been minimized, the surface of Windows XP "freezes" until the write process has finished - i.e. although it continues writing, it is not possible to use the computer at all!
The cause of this appears to be an error in Windows XP:
As you know, Feurio! normally sets the priority class of the writing process to "Real-time" to thus also be able to ensure writing safely (without a Buffer-Underrun) with burners which are not "Burn-Proof".
Unfortunately Windows XP does not appear to be capable of minimizing the window of a process with "Real-time" priority - as demonstrated using just a small test program (20 lines), Windows XP "gets stuck" as soon as the window of a process with real-time priority is minimized.
For this reason we have initially set the default priorities for the CD-Writer to "Normal" (until Microsoft solves the problem in the shape of a service pack) and have installed a warning message if the priorities have been set manually.
bulletProgram mode "One Window" eliminated:
Until now it has been possible to switch the Feurio! CD-Writer between the modes "one window" and "several windows" which has in part led to misunderstandings. "Switching off" the main window while writing in favor of the writing progress window also did not always work correctly in Windows XP.
For this reason we have now abandoned the mode "one window", i.e. Feurio! now opens a new window for every writing process.
bulletNew CD burners
The following burners are now also supported:
NEC NR-7800B (incl. CD-Text)
NEC NR-7900A (incl. CD-Text)
Aopen CRW2440 (incl. CD-Text)
Aopen CRW2040 (incl. CD-Text)
Mitsumi CR-4809TE (incl. CD-Text)
TEAC CD-W524E (incl. CD-Text)
Lacie StudioDrive CDRW 16x8x40x Firewire (incl. CD-Text)

bulletError corrections:
HP Surestore 8100i:
Writing the Leadout was interrupted by an error message -> hopefully corrected (unfortunately HP has not made a test model available to us which means we can not check this)

Sony CRX 120, 140, 145, 160 and compatible (HP 8100, 8200, 8500, 8600, ...)
bulletAgain to: TEAC 512/516:
Unfortunately the changes implemented in version 1.62 had not eliminated all the problems with the TEAC 512/516 after all.
However, we now really seem to have found the ultimate source of the problem:
As you know, if the writer window is open, Feurio! periodically queries the status of the CD-Writer and issue the corresponding status information ("Tray Open", "Loading CD-R", "Reading CD-R information").
Obviously the writer is not reading the information on the new CD-R correctly if at a certain point in time during the loading process a certain command is sent to the writer. The result of this was either the message "Cannot Write Media-Incompatible Format" or several defective sectors at the start of the CD.
We have now ensured that the command in question is not sent to the writer until the loading process as been completed - this really should finally be the solution to the problem. If however, any other problems should occur, please contact us!
bulletError corrections:
Mitsumi 4802:
When starting to write an error message was received that no writeable CD-R had been inserted -> corrected.

horizontal rule

Novità dalla 1.61 alla 1.62 (Rilasciato il 18.07.2001):

Feurio! CD-Manager:

bulletLettura Cue-Sheet File:
Feurio! can now read "Cue-Sheet-Files". "Cue-Sheet-Files" contain information on track marks for example and are generated among others by CdrWin and EAC - thus Feurio! can now directly read files generated by CdrWin or EAC.
Call up the function: "Project" -> "Generate Project from Cuesheet file".
bulletGenerazione progetto da una playlist:
Now a new project can be generated directly from a playlist by calling up the function: "Project" -> "Generate Project from Playlist". This avoids the longer route via "Generate project", "Import Playlist" and thus makes it possible to quickly generate a project from a WinAmp playlist for example.
bulletLettura file immagine di Nero 5.5:
Now Feurio! can also read the image files generated by Nero 5.5.
bulletCDDB Revision Marks:
Feurio! now supports the "CDDB Revision Marks". The revision marks are necessary if you want to send corrected database entries to the CDDB-Server.
Note: You will have to re-import the CDDB database if you want to correct entries as that is the only way to import revision marks which may exist (the CDDB-Server only accepts corrected entries if the revision mark of the new entry is higher than that of the old entry).
bulletCorrezione Errori:
On some CD-ROM drives the following appeared if no CD had been inserted: "Error on querying the drive".
The reason for this is that these drives do not support a certain command which Feurio! uses to query the status of the caddy (and can thus e.g. display the message: "Caddy open", "No CD inserted").
Feurio! will now independently determine whether the drive supports this command and if not, will not use it.

Feurio! CD-Writer:

bulletSupporto JustSpeed (Regolazione Automatica della Velocità):
The Ricoh 7200 is offering a "new" function: "JustSpeed"(Adaptive Speed Control). JustSpeed automatically adapts the write speed to the medium inserted, i.e. the writer analyzes the CD-Rs inserted and if needed, turns the maximum write speed down.
Now Justspeed can be deactivated as an option (In the main dialog press the "Expanded >>"-switch and deactivate the "JustSpeed" switch), so that the writer always offers the maximum possible write speed (20x).
bulletCD-Text e copie con file immagine:
Feurio! saves "Images" as "normal" Feurio! projects, i.e. the parameters of an image can also be edited - for this reason, in the case of an image copy, the CD text data has always been re-calculated until now as soon as the image was reloaded.
Many users have asked for the "Original" CD-Text information to remain.
So we have changed the behavior now as follows:
If CD-Text information was read when generating a CD-Image, this is now also saved in the project and written onto the target CD unchanged. If the project is changed in the CD manager, then the next time you try to burn, a dialog box will appear in which you can select whether the ,"Original CD-Text information" is to be burned or whether the CD-Text information should be regenerated.
bulletSupporto Cue-Sheet file, playlist MP3; supporto Drag&Drop:
Feurio!® now also supports "Cue-Sheet files". Cue-Sheet files are generated for example by CdrWin® or EAC® and contain information on the track distribution of a CD. So now a CD can be burned directly from the Cue-Sheet file.
bulletCaricamento diretto Cue-Sheet file, playlist MP3; supporto Drag&Drop:
Under "Program" there is now a new entry: "Load / import project". With the aid of this entry you can directly load and burn a Feurio! Project file, an mp3 playlist, a Cue-Sheet file or a Nero or Iso image without having to generate a project first.
The Feurio!® CD-Writer also now supports "Drag&Drop", i.e. instead of calling up this function, the Feurio! project file, the playlist file, the cuesheet file or the Nero image can simply be dragged into the Feurio!® CD-Writer window using Drag&Drop - the file is then automatically loaded and can then be burned with just one more click.
Several users reported to us that CDs which had been burned with CD text using the TEAC 512/516 could not be played back correctly on several CD players:
The CDs got "stuck" in the first few seconds, but then subsequently they would run perfectly.
We then tested this extensively here but were not able to reproduce the problem. In version 1.61.4 / the driver update 1.61.5, we then reset the write mode for the TEAC 512/516 to "RAW". This seemed to have solved the problem - according to the testers the CDs can now be played correctly.
Unfortunately other testers then reported that now CD text is no longer displayed correctly on some players.
So we subsequently started a HUGE series of test with different CD players and CD-Rs and have conducted in depth discussions with TEAC.
There really seem to be some problems here which only appear with certain CD-Rs and certain players with a certain command sequence.
We have now set the driver back to "Cue-Sheet Mode" and in conjunction with TEAC changed the sequence of the write commands - now writing should work without any problems - all tests we conducted worked well, anyway. However as the problem only seems to appear with certain constellations, we unfortunately can not guarantee that it has been solved 100% - please test extensively!
Reports back are welcome!
Many CD recorders unfortunately do not support "Session-at-Once" mode (they only support writing in Raw mode) - which is why the button "Do not close CD" has always been deactivated in Feurio! so far and the CD has always been closed.
We have now found out that with SOME recorders it is possible to work around this limitation, by writing the necessary information to continue the CD in RAW mode. Unfortunately this can not be used to make a 100% correct Session-at-Once recording: Although in Raw mode you can write the "Next-Session-Pointers", unfortunately it is not possible to update the "PMA area" of the CD-R (as far as we are aware).
The consequence of this is that the burned CD is not recognized as being "open" by all CD recorders - many CD recorders check the PMA area and only recognize a CD with a correct PMA area as being open.
We have tested the following recorders so far:
Mitusumi 4804, 4805:
Works, i.e. "Do not close CD" can now be activated
Acer 4x4x32, Tevion 4x4x32 and similar (ATAPI CD-RW xxx):
Does not work, i.e. the recorders do not accept CDs without correct PMA -> "Do not close CD" can not be activated.
Philips CDD 3801, 4401, 4801.. and similar (IDE CD-RW xxx, many Waitec and Traxdata models):
Does not work, i.e. the recorders do not accept CDs without correct PMA -> "Do not close CD" can not be activated.
bulletCambiamenti nei driver dei Masterizzatori:
Unfortunately we have to slightly change the Writer concept for Feurio!:
Until now there has been a special driver for every "Writer class" in the "Drivers" folder of Feurio!.
Unfortunately the number of new CD writers has "exploded" - slowly it is no longer possible to generate a special driver for every writer. Luckily it is no longer necessary either, as in the meantime the writer can understand relatively uniform commands (MultiMedia-Commandset) - there are only "minor" differences now (e.g. for BurnProof, JustLink etc.).
We are currently working on changing the driver concept so that in future there will only be ONE standard driver for ALL MMC compatible writers; internally this driver has a table with the peculiarities of the individual writers - and of course the corresponding program code. Thus, even with this "Universal driver", all peculiarities of the corresponding CD writers will be supported just as well as they ever were!
All new writers which we are implementing in Feurio! will be linked in with this "Universal driver".
At the same time we are gradually transferring all the old writers to this new concept, the following writers have been "transferred" so far:
Mitsumi 4804
Mitsumi 4805
LG 8080, 8081, 8083
Acer 4x4x32, 6x4x32, 8x4x32, 10x4x32.. and compatible (e.g. Tevion 4x4x43)

Novità dalla 1.60 alla 1.61 (Rilasciato il 09.04.2001):

Feurio! CD-Manager:

Feurio! CD-Writer:

I file Vengono convertiti automaticamente (vedi giù).

horizontal rule

Novità dalla 1.50 alla 1.51 (Rilasciato il 21.06.2000) TUTTO IN ITALIANO!! :

Feurio! CD-Manager:

bulletMigliorata la funzione di importazione database CDDB:
Since some time the operators of FreeDB provide an updated CD database for downloading (ftp://ftp.freedb.org). The database is not available as a single file, but as one (quite old) "basic file" and several update files, each containing the new entries. To import the FreeDB files, two improvements have been made to the CDDB import function:
bulletSeveral TAR files can be selected and imported as once (i. e. to completely import all data you simply have to download all files from FreeDB and select them then).
bulletUpdating the database implemented:
Up to now, importing new data erased the old database. Now Feurio! asks (if there is already something stored in the CDDB database) whether the old data should be erased or "mixed" with the new entries if a new file is imported.
bulletMigliorata la finestra delle impostazioni CDDB:
Now the CDDB settings dialog contains "Default buttons" for CDDB and FreeDB, so entering the server adresses and so one is not necesseray anymore. (Of course the "User defined" setting, where you can enter server adresses manually, is still available, so other servers can still easily be used.)
From now on the entered CDs can be transferred to the CDDB database and placed to other user's disposal. Note: At the moment it is (for "political" reasons) not possible to submit data to the "original" CDDB database the transfers will be ignored by the server, because we refused to sign the new (restrictive) license agreement. For details see: "Frequently Asked Questions When will CDDB2 be supported?". Therefore transfering data is presently only possible to the FreeDB database. (As mentioned above, this is neither a technical problem nor a bug of Feurio the server simply rejects the data send by Feurio! unfortunately the operators of CDDB refuse to add Feurio! to the list of programs that are accepted by the database. The transfer can be activated from the CD-Edit dialog (Button "Edit" in the CD-Directory).
The title selecton of the CD-/ Wave-Player has been improved: If the mouse is moved over a track button, the player shows the track title as a "tool-tip".
bulletVarie:
bulletCDDB request for project added:
With "Project" -> "Special commands" -> "Execute CDDB request for project" a CDDB request for a complete project can be carried out. This is useful, if an image of an unknown CD was read by Feurio! CD-Writer.
bulletProject parameters -> UPC-Code input:
The UPC-Code can now be entered directly in the "Project parameters" (in the extended view).
bulletFilename generation new variables
By popular request new variables for the filename generation have been introduced:
"%D" -> CD-Artist
"%E" -> CD-Title
(In opposite to %C, that always contains the complete CD-Name in the form of "<CD-Artitst> - <CD-Title>").
bulletBugfix:
bulletDatabase -> Copy to Clipboard -> Track list partially generated the playing time 00:00 -> Fixed.
bulletCDDB recognition dialog:
In some cases the dialog disappeared immediately without one CD found -> Fixed!
bulletSaving the selected drive:
Normally Feurio! starts with the last selected drive. Under certain circumstances (access mode: ASPI, Drive-ID: 0,0,0) this didn't work anymore -> Fixed.
bulletSwitching CD-Player to digital playback:
If the CD-Player was started in analog playback mode and switched to digital mode while playing and the playback was restarted without quitting the player, the player sometimes locked-up at the function "Initialising player" -> Fixed.
bulletDatabase view, Mode "Tree 2" and "Double-tree 2":
The playing times of the selected tracks weren't added if several tracks were selected -> Fixed.

Feurio! CD-Writer:

bulletImpostazionei DMA (Busmaster) per Windows NT 4.0:
Unfortunately many Feurio! users have problems with IDE CD-Writers or CD-ROMs under Windows NT. Since service pack 3, Windows NT 4.0 has integrated busmaster-capable IDE drivers. Unfortunately, under Windows busmaster operation is disabled by default and can't be activated from within Windows but with an external program. Though the activation is quite simple, we have implemented a function in Feurio! to activate the DMA (busmaster-) operation under Windows NT: Menu: "Extras", tab "ATAPI DMA settings".
bulletNuovi masterizzatori supportati:
Ora sono supportati anche i seguenti masterizzatori:
bulletRicoh RW-7120A (incl. CD-Text)
bulletRicoh 7063A (incl. CD-Text)
bulletNEC NR-7500A (incl. CD-Text)
bulletTDK VeloCD ReWriter (incl. CD-Text)
bulletSamsung SM-304B
bulletSamsung SW-207F (incl. CD-Text)

Novità dalla 1.32 alla 1.50:

Feurio! CD-Manager:

bulletIntegrated, high quality mp3-Decoder-Codec:
As of now Feurio! has an integrated mp3 decoder codec (licensed from the Fraunhofer IIS) and is thus no longer dependent on an external codec. This should also improve the quality of the playback of mp3 files. This means that Feurio! can now play back mp3 files now WITHOUT external programs and burn on-the-fly onto CDs! To CREATE mp3 files however, an external Codec is still necessary - an integrated encoder codec is far too expensive!
bulletFeurio! CD-Player: Digital Playback introduced:
A mode "Digital Playback" has additionally been included in the Feurio! CD-Player. In this mode the CD-Player reads the data digitally from the CD-ROM (i.e. via the SCSI or IDE-BUS) and then sends them to the soundcard. In this way it is possible to play back from CD-ROMs / CD burners whose audio output is NOT connected to the soundcard.
bulletVolume control for CD/Wave-Player:
The Wave-Player has now got a volume control. Caution: The volume control only works correctly if setting the volume is supported by the soundcard!
bulletSearch function implemented:
In the view Database, a full-text search function has been implemented.
bulletLame-Encoder: VBR and Joint-Stereo implemented:
If the LAME-Encoder as of Version 3.66 is implemented, then from now on mp3s in "Joint Stereo" and/or "Variable Bit Rate (VBR)" mode can also be created. To activate the new mode, "Program" -> "Program-Parameters" -> "Mp3-settings" Box: "Create mp3 files", Button: "Settings" has to be called up once. If Lame Version 3.66 has not been installed yet, then the correct path for Lame 3.66 has to be given here!
bulletSort code implemented:
A sort code can be given in the database editor not only for the CD but also for the track artist; sorting in the database view is carried out according to this sort code. Using this, you can make sure that, for example, "Bob Dylan" is filed under "D".
bulletFurther sort options:
In the database view there are now extended sort options available (e.g. playing time, purchase date etc.)!
bulletAutostart of the Windows CD-Player is prevented by Feurio!:
As of now Feurio! prevents the Windows CD-Player starting automatically, providing Feurio! is active (this of course would lead to some problems). Automatic start of data CDs is NOT prevented! Bonus for Windows NT Users: If automatic start is activated, then if Feurio! has been started and a new audio CD is inserted, the CD-ROM which the CD has been inserted in is automatically selected as the copy source in the Feurio! CD Manager or Feurio! CD-Writer (If both CD Manager AND CD-Writer are active, then the most recently activated program module is used, i.e. if you were last using the Feurio! CD-Writer, then the new CD is given as the source for "CD-Copy". If you were last using the Feurio! CD-Manager, then the drive is activated as source in the Feurio! CD-Manager)
bulletButton "Copy" in the CD-Player:
Improved CD-Player: In the CD-Player, the track which has just started being played can be copied into the current project by pressing a button!
bulletFAQ totally reworked:
The "FAQ" catalog has been completely revised including both appearance and contents. The individual questions and answers have been divided into categories and each question/answer pair appears on its own page. Many more new questions and answers have been included. Please have a look through, comments are welcome!
bulletHelp files summarized:
So far every one of the 4 Feurio! modules (CD-Manager, CD-Writer, Track Editor and Cover Editor) has had its own help file. As requested by several users, the help files of the CD-Manager, CD-Writer and Track Editor have been put together to make one help file. From an operational point of view everything remains the same - the great advantage in doing this is that the full text search now finds key words from all texts.
bulletImprovement CD/Wave-Player with more than 28 Tracks:
If the CD/Wave-Player is used with more than 28 Tracks, then as of now a scroll bar is displayed next to the track selection button; using this scroll bar other tracks can now be accessed directly.
bulletRead speed for Device Test can be changed:
As of now the read speed for the Device Test can be changed - using this you can now determine, for example, if the CD-ROM reads better at a lower speed!
bulletNero 5.0 Images implemented:
Unfortunately the structure of the Nero images was changed, from now on Feurio! also accepts Nero 5.0 images!
bulletDatabase display improved:
The database display has been improved, structuring the database entries is now carried out in an extra thread, so that the dialog box can also be used while the entries are being put together. This in particular improves the display of the CDDB database so that the very irritating "hang ups" which sometimes occurred when, for example, selecting the tree structure view, no longer occur! This also makes the search function more useable.
bulletBehavior in the case of defective MP3s improved:
Unfortunately many programs dont create correct mp3 files (i.e. for example, faulty tags are written or the frame structure is incorrect). The mp3 routines have now been made more robust against faulty mp3s so that Feurio! can now in many cases still decode the mp3s.
bulletOdds & Ends:
bulletWave-Player: As of now the thread priority of the playback thread can be changed; furthermore a correction function for several faulty soundcard drivers has been installed.
bulletWave-Player: As of now the position can also be changed in pause mode; the track forward/back buttons also now work in pause mode.
bulletDatabase view: Sorting the album/track list can now also be changed by clicking on the column title.
bulletWith Copy tracks / Pack tracks, target: "Harddisk path", stand-ins can also be used in setting the path, i.e. for example, the path can depend on the artist.
bulletDrag & Drop from Explorer now also works with mp3 player lists (.mu3 files).
bulletSpeed set for TEAC 540: If the TEAC 540 is equipped with Firmware 3.0, then the speed can now be regulated from Feurio! (i.e. without the TEAC tool).
bulletMenu: "Project Content", Entry: "Record audio data" implemented: Starts recording audio data from the soundcard with a click.
bulletMenu: "CD-ROM", Entries accepted "Include CD in the request list again" and "Renewed CDDB request": These entries can be used to initiate a renewed CDDB request of a CD.
bulletIn the CDDB Settings Dialog outstanding requests can now be deleted
bulletCDDB mode: "Manual trigger of the request" implemented: For special applications (e.g. Router, which doesnt select automatically) an additional CDDB mode has been included in which the CDDB request can be triggered manually.
bulletError corrections:
bulletFeurio! Track editor: Setting the start position of a track if in the background the overview files were being calculated sometimes caused a crash -> fixed.

Feurio! CD-Writer:

bulletBurn-Proof implemented:
As of now Feurio! supports "Burn-Proof" (if supported by the recorder). "Burn-Proof" prevents a "Buffer-Underrun". To activate "Burn-Proof", the professional mode has to activated first (Button "Expanded >>") and then set the switch "Burn-Proof". For further details, see: "Burn-Proof".
bullet"Profi Mode" changed:
The main dialog now has got a new switch: "Expanded >>", this switch activates the professional mode. The switch under "Program parameters" -> "Special parameters" is thus unnecessary and has been removed.
bulletLayout of main dialog changed:
The layout of the main dialog has been changed slightly.
bulletNew CD burners:
The following burners are now also supported:
bulletPlextor PX-RW1210 (12/10/32) (incl. CD-TEXT)
bulletYamaha CRW 8824E (incl. CD-TEXT)
bulletPhilips CDD 4801
bulletPhilips PCRW804K
bulletHP Surestore 9300i (incl. CD-TEXT) (without guarantee) Support of this writer is provided without guarantee as HP could not manage to make a test model available to us, despite being asked to do so. Due to the lack of support from the manufacturer we can not guarantee that it will work correctly with Feurio!; for this reason we can unfortunately only advise against using Feurio! if you buy this writer!
bulletGoldstar 8080B (incl. CD-TEXT) (without guarantee) Support of this writer is provided without guarantee as Goldstar could not manage to make a test model available to us, despite being asked to do so. Due to the lack of support from the manufacturer we can not guarantee that it will work correctly with Feurio!; for this reason we can unfortunately only advise against using Feurio! if you buy this writer!
bulletMemorex CD-RW4224 (incl. CD-TEXT)
bulletPlexwriter 412/820 and CD-TEXT:
We have actually managed to burn with the Plexwriter 412/820 CD-TEXT using a special trick. Note: This ONLY works with firmware version 1.07! CAUTION: Even with firmware 1.07, the Plexwriter 412 or 820 doesnt burn CD-TEXT correctly - many CD players and even some CD-ROMs can not read the CD text written with a Plexwriter 412 or 820!
bulletMitsumi 4802 and CD-TEXT:
As of now CD-TEXT can also be burned with the Mitsumi 4802. CAUTION: The Mitsumi 4802 doesnt support CD-TEXT 100% correctly, sometimes other CD-ROMs or CD-Players can not read the CD-TEXT information correctly!
bulletOdds & Ends:
bulletCD-TEXT switch changed:
The switch "Write CD-Text data" lead to a misunderstanding with many users. So far it has only been possible to select the switch if the writer is able to write CD-Text AND CD-Text data patterns (i.e. burning a project, copying a CD-Text CD or copying a CD present in the database). Many users have now complained that they couldnt select CD-Text, even though their writer was able to write CD-Text. To avoid this "Misunderstanding", we have now changed it slightly: The switch "Write CD-Text data" can ALWAYS be activated if the writer supports CD-Text. If the burning process is started and there is no CD-Text information available, then a notification message appears.
bulletError corrections:
bulletSony 120E / HP 8200: On some systems Feurio! got stuck while writing the Leadin. Although the cause of the error can be found in the system drivers (so it is not really Feurio!s fault), we have found a way to circumvent the command which caused it to get stuck. So from now on, Feurio! should be able to write on all systems on the Sony 120E / HP 8200i without any problems
bulletIf burning on several writers has been selected and the number of copies set so that for the last write process there is only one CD left to be burned, (e.g. 7 copies, burned on 3 writers) Feurio! crashed -> fixed!
bulletCreation of an image from a CD on which Track 1, Index 1 was NOT in the "normal" start position (00:02:00) did not work if copying index marks was deactivated -> fixed
bulletError corrections were carried out for the Mitsumi 4801. Corrected: Unfortunately we did not have a test model of this writer available so that we could not test version 1.32 properly with this recorder - unfortunately these recorders did not work correctly any more -> fixed
